October 3, 2007, 12:02 am : DJing at two Funder Strikes parties in October

As is traditional, I’m doing my usual pop/ dance DJing at the next two Funder Strikes nights in Leeds. I’m also organising these two Funders, although in realit the club night is totally DIY and collectively run, as is the venue.

At the Commonplace, Wharf Street, Leeds City Centre (behind the Corn Exchange)

A birthday party for Circuit, Dicko, Gwen and anyone else who wishes to join the fun. The fancy dress theme is ?ў‚ЗЁАъThe Future?ў‚ЗЁ‚Сў please, so get creative with the bacofoil and silver leggings. Playing music for your lugholes will be:

Trouble Vs Glue - from Italy. They combine drums and geetar with samples and drum machine and cheap wonky keyboards that go ERK ERK. Dance time. They remind me a bit of Les Georges Leningrad and they have previously supported Partyline in Leeds.

Tigers! - Four grown men in tigerprint undies, hanging out in your paddling pool. They make a jerky, fast, confusing racket and they are great.
